1. Introduction

ICCXX B.V. offers a power bank rental service through automated hubs, a mobile application (available for Android and iOS), and a web application (https://h5.iccxx-benelux.com). We place great importance on protecting your data and process it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy statement informs you about which data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

3. Which data do we collect?

To provide our power bank rental service, we process the following categories of data:

  1. Authentication data: A unique user ID generated upon registration via Apple, Google, or email. No data is stored when registering via Apple or Google. When registering via email, we collect contact and identification data, such as your email address and name.
  2. Rental data: Information about your rental transactions, such as the start time, duration, and location of the rental (e.g. the hub where the power bank is rented or returned).
  3. Payment information: Data required for processing payments, such as transaction IDs, is processed by our payment provider Multisafepay. We do not store payment card details.
  4. User data: Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and older. During registration, you are asked to confirm that you are 18 or older. If minors wish to use our service, consent from a parent or guardian is required. When introducing optional features, such as a future automatic debit system, additional data may be collected. You will be informed about this in advance.

4. Why do we collect this data?

We process your data for the following purposes and based on the stated legal grounds:

  1. Execution of rental transactions: To enable the rental of power banks, including registration, payment, and return (legal basis: performance of a contract).
  2. Customer service: To handle your questions or complaints and provide support via our app, email, or phone (legal basis: performance of a contract).
  3. Tax obligations: To comply with Dutch tax legislation, such as retaining rental data (legal basis: legal obligation).
  4. Anonymized operational insights: To improve our services, such as optimizing hub locations, based on anonymized data (legal basis: legitimate interest). ICCXX does not use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal consequences for users.

5. How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected in the following ways:

  1. Directly: Contact and identification data you provide when registering an account via Apple, Google, or email, and when performing rental transactions through our hubs.
  2. Automatically: Rental data (e.g. start time, location) is collected through our hubs when you rent or return a power bank.
  3. Through third parties: Payment information, such as transaction IDs, is processed by our payment provider. ICCXX only has temporary access to this data during the rental period and the deposit refund process, after which it is anonymized and no longer accessible.

6. With whom do we share your data?

Your data is only shared in the following cases:

  1. Our payment provider: For the processing of payments. Our payment provider complies with the GDPR and relevant European regulations.
  2. Anonymized data: Used to improve our services and not traceable to individuals.
  3. No storage outside the EU: Your data is stored exclusively within the EU.

7. How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain your data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Rental data: Retained for 7 years to comply with Dutch tax legislation. This data is pseudonymized and may be linked to a phone number in case of email registration.
  • Contact and identification data: Deleted upon termination of your account, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise. After the successful refund of the deposit, we no longer have access to payment details such as account numbers, which are retained by our payment provider. After the retention period expires, the data is deleted or anonymized.

8. How do we secure your data?

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • Technical measures: Data is stored and transmitted in encrypted form, and access to systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
  • Organizational measures: We conduct regular checks to ensure our security. In the event of a data breach, we will report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority within 72 hours, as required by the GDPR.

9. What are your rights?

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right of access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to restriction
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest. Requests can be submitted via support@iccxx.nl or +31 85 4016533. We will process your request within one month. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

10. Changes to this privacy statement

We may amend this privacy statement. Changes will be published on iccxx.nl/privacystatement and communicated via our app or website.
